This Portland home required a radon air mitigation system, and the basement layout presented a few challenges. The sump needed to be properly sealed, and there was a nearby door that could have been affected by the sump lid if it wasn’t planned carefully. The goal was to improve safety without interfering with everyday use of the space or the home’s appearance.
After:
We installed a custom-sealed sump lid, carefully working around the nearby door so that it remained fully functional with no obstruction. The system was routed with precision, and the exterior piping was installed on a single level, giving the home a clean, balanced, and professional look.
The finished installation blended seamlessly with the structure, delivering effective radon mitigation while preserving both access and aesthetics. A smart solution, a clean finish, and another Portland home protected.
Client had high radon levels in an 1800s apartment building. We utilized a hidden corner for a sub slab depressurization system.
Maine Radon & Environmental was called out to this Cumberland Maine home due to high levels of radon in there water.
We were able to hid this install on the corner of the building were all the utilities were located. This client decided to go with a premium low voltage radon fan which will save them over 50% operation costs.
In this modular we were able to run the system through the inside of the building and include the fan in the attic and vent through roof.
