Helping a Home Sale Move Forward in North Waterboro, ME

Vicki K. in North Waterboro, Maine needed radon mitigation completed as part of an active real estate transaction. With a closing date approaching, timing and communication were critical to ensure the work was completed efficiently and coordinated with all parties involved.

After working with the homeowner and seller's agent, our team designed a mitigation system to address the property's radon concerns. The project included multiple extraction points to improve sub-slab communication and maximize system performance. We also installed two economy sump pit lids to help seal radon entry points and improve the overall effectiveness of the system.

Because every real estate transaction has deadlines and moving pieces, coordination with the seller's agent was essential throughout the process. The goal was to provide a solution that would help the transaction continue moving smoothly while delivering long-term protection for the future homeowner.

Now the property has a professionally installed radon mitigation system designed to reduce radon levels and provide peace of mind for everyone involved. Whether you're buying, selling, or simply protecting your family, having the right radon solution in place can make all the difference.

Radon Mitigation Sanford ME

Maine Radon & Environmental was called out to this property in Sanford Maine. We determined best fit to reduce radon gas levels in their home. After install clients were super happy and results looked good as well. Another happy client.

Radon Air Mitigation | Sanford, Maine

Before:
The homeowner in Sanford, Maine initially became concerned after learning that the neighboring home had radon levels as high as 16 pCi/L. An at-home radon test was completed on 11/24/25, which showed elevated results and prompted further concern. The test materials directed the homeowner to seek professional testing, which led them to contact us.

After completing a continuous radon test, the confirmed reading came back at just under 8 pCi/L, reinforcing the need for mitigation. The homeowner reached back out on 12/03/25 to move forward with a permanent solution.

After:
We installed a radon air mitigation system designed specifically for the home’s layout. The system was routed cleanly and exited through the right-side gable end, providing an effective and visually discreet installation. The mitigation successfully addressed the elevated radon levels and brought the home back within safe standards.

The homeowner was relieved to have clear answers, professional testing, and a completed system they could trust. Another Sanford home was made safer through proper testing, clear communication, and a clean, effective installation.

Real Estate Radon Mitigation | Sanford, Maine

Before:
This radon mitigation project in Sanford, Maine was part of an active real estate transaction, so planning and timing were important. The client requested the system be installed on the right front corner of the home, where an outlet and sump lid were already in place. The client was not present at the time of installation, and access was coordinated through a lockbox, with the code provided prior to install.

At the planning stage, the client was unsure whether they wanted an interior pipe run. We were not able to visually confirm the interior chase ahead of time, but the client confirmed that the first-floor bedroom closet and second-floor bathroom closet aligned, providing a potential vertical pathway. There was also attic access with a pull-string light, which made attic work accessible.

After:
On installation day, everything came together smoothly. We jogged the pipe slightly toward the center of the home before completing the roof penetration, allowing for a clean and efficient run through the attic. The system was installed as planned, utilizing the existing outlet and properly integrating with the sump lid.

The final installation was clean, functional, and well-suited for the real estate timeline. The system performed exactly as intended, and the project worked out great for everyone involved.

Another Sanford home protected — and another transaction supported with a smooth, professional install.

Before & After - Radon Air & Water Solution | Sanford, Maine

Before:

Kayla D., a real estate agent in Sanford, Maine, reached out after testing revealed radon concerns in both the air and the water of the property. With an active transaction underway, the goal was to design a solution that would handle both issues efficiently while fitting within the home’s existing layout.

The basement had a drop ceiling, which offered a potential pathway for routing drainage, but the equipment placement required careful planning between the well tank room and the adjacent space.

After:

We installed a Cambridge radon-in-water system along with the necessary air mitigation components, coordinating both systems into a clean, integrated setup. The drop ceiling allowed us to run the drain pipe above the ceiling all the way to the floor drain without disrupting the finished space. The sanitizer was installed in the well tank room, while the Cambridge unit was mounted on the opposite side of the wall. Piping was extended cleanly to the unit and returned without cluttering the space.

The finished installation was organized, efficient, and visually tidy — delivering effective treatment for both air and water while keeping the real estate timeline intact.

Another Sanford property protected and another transaction supported with thoughtful planning and professional execution.
