Maine Radon and Water Treatment was called to a facility in New Gloucester, ME 04260 to install a radon mitigation system that would help ensure a safer environment for its occupants. After reviewing the site, our team identified a dirt floor in the furnace room that required sealing and redirected the installation location due to obstructions from a nearby tree. The system was plumbed into an existing sump area, and we added an economy sump lid for better sealing. With sub-slab depressurization and a radon membrane in place, the team completed the job using Schedule 40 piping and a 10-foot extension to properly vent radon gases away from the structure.
