In Old orchard Beach, Maine, a worried homeowner contacted us about high radon levels. We installed a radon system for their safety. At Maine Radon & Water Treatment, we're dedicated to making homes safer from radon.
A homeowner in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, reached out to Maine Radon after consistently detecting elevated radon levels of 5-6 pCi/L in their basement. Concerned about the potential health risks, they sought a solution to reduce their radon exposure. After comparing companies, they chose Maine Radon for their prompt response and detailed plan, which included routing the system through the rear right corner of the house to minimize disruption. Despite the homeowner's absence during installation, our team adapted to the on-site conditions, working around existing shelving and ensuring a safe, effective exit point for the system. Before:
David V.’s home in Carrabassett Valley, Maine had a water test that revealed arsenic levels of 0.0126 mg/L, which is above the EPA maximum contaminant level of 0.010 mg/L for drinking water. While many other parameters in the water test looked good, the arsenic reading meant the water required treatment to make it safe for long-term household use.
After:
We installed a 1.5 CF Impression Plus metered salt unit along with a dedicated arsenic treatment setup using SBG2-HP mineral anion resin and CR100 zeolite media. A sediment filter was also installed to help protect the system and improve overall performance.
The system was configured to efficiently remove arsenic while maintaining consistent water quality throughout the home. The finished installation was clean, organized, and built to deliver reliable long-term filtration.
Another Carrabassett Valley home now has safer, professionally treated water and peace of mind moving forward.
