We had to be cautious as there was radiant heat in the garage and it was fully finished.

 

Once a plan was established, the customer was satisfied and wanted to move forward with the installation. Luckily, several days before his project, the builder alerted him that there was a passive system that was sheetrocked in behind the finished garage walls. Had gone to install water filtration system. Upon completing backwash tie into existing pvc drain (kitchen line) was completely plugged. It was assumed it had always been issue since a fernco was in the middle of the line. If backwash was connected it could've backed up into kitchen sink. There was not enough pitch on the drainage. This installation was required because the home’s water tested at 13,000 pCi/L of radon—well above Maine’s guideline of 4,000 pCi/L.
